Mighty Deleware

The upper reaches of the Delaware are definitely not MIGHTY! This is the north side, the land in the distance is an island. The tiny white spec just right of center in the fiver is some poor soul's beachball.

Cass to Elkins and back by train

The Cass to Elkins trip took place over two days. On Saturday we traveled behind two shays up the mountain to Spruce where we changed trains headed by the two Western Maryland diesels for our trip down the north side of the mountain to Elkins. Over all the trip was about 70 miles one way. We spent the night in Elkins and returned the next day mostly in the rain. When we arrived at Whittaker on the Cass line the sun made a brief appearance and I was able to capture shots of the reatored skidder, log loader and fire tower.

Days 12 and 13

Very few boats were seen on our cruise. This foggy one was off North Carolina on the way back. Their route must be off the normal shipping lanes.
The clown and finally on our last evening a "heart". Wonder what brought that on:)

Day 11 - a very special day at sea

The day started with swans and rose petals on the bed and progressed to the chapel.
A kiss and two rings and it was complete.

Day 10 - excursion ashore

Some great scenery and some even greater vantage points from which to enjoy it.

An old fort and just one of a hundred great beaches.

And last but not least the signature airport over the beach scene:)

Day 10 - St. Maartin Traffic Jam

Two huge Celebrity boats plus two smaller craft and a fuel tender. A real traffic jam. We haven't seen more that two other boats the whole cruise. St Maartin is definitely where its happening.
Two more animals from recent days, a gorilla and a cat!

Antigua Zoo

What a zoo! There must be 500 animals here. Octupi, seals, turtles, elephants, dogs, orangs, etc. What a hoot!
