Descriptions of the construction progress of my new Florida model railroad featuring the line from Lakeland to Punta Gorda. Originally a journal of RV trips throughout the United States and Canada with Patti and Bob. Also photo documentation of the progress on my Maryland model railroad, the Allegheny and Shenandoah, a mythical class one line connecting Strasburg VA. with Elkins WV.

Morro Bay
What a beautiful spot. This is the last good harbor until you reach Monterey 135 miles to the north. They have their own rock. One really big ass rock. Its right in the middle of what would otherwise be a great channel into the harbor. The channel has to wind around the rock so it first bends 90 degrees to the left then 180 degrees to the right. It does give new meaning to "sheltered harbor". Really, really, really sheltered. The town is great. They are having a music festival there tomorrow. Should be fun.
Lots of seals in the harbor, they beg for food, duh.
