The views from our campground are spectacular. The ridge behind us separates the the Animas River valley from the ones to our west where Rico and Ouray reside. Scarlet is the tiny black rectangle in the far left corner. Of course it doesn't hurt to have one of the views from the campground be of the Durango and Silverton's route up the valley. This mid-morning train was 8 cars long and loaded with railfans busy taking photographs of me, why? I have no idea.
Descriptions of the construction progress of my new Florida model railroad featuring the line from Lakeland to Punta Gorda. Originally a journal of RV trips throughout the United States and Canada with Patti and Bob. Also photo documentation of the progress on my Maryland model railroad, the Allegheny and Shenandoah, a mythical class one line connecting Strasburg VA. with Elkins WV.
