Descriptions of the construction progress of my new Florida model railroad featuring the line from Lakeland to Punta Gorda. Originally a journal of RV trips throughout the United States and Canada with Patti and Bob. Also photo documentation of the progress on my Maryland model railroad, the Allegheny and Shenandoah, a mythical class one line connecting Strasburg VA. with Elkins WV.

Idaho Falls
Our campground in Idaho Falls is lovely and the roaring creek on the top photo passes right under the wagon wheel in the bottom shot. The melt water is clear and cold a just about to the the top of the banks. A little unnerving if you are parked just 20' feet away. The narrow gauge railroad came right through town on its way up to Georgetown and Plume. A gain in altitude of over 2000' in just 16 miles.
